Before V7.5, when AVG running test, it would take about 40 minutes and scan 50,000+ items and show a lot of things it was checking. the new one is running in 8 minutes and scans only show for Kernal 32dll and shell 32dll and total items scanned as 5,855. I believe I may have had bad download. Have downloaded three times. Please advise if this result is correct for the new product or is it not functioning properly?
Please note, I am not looking for advice on running any different anti viral products as have been very happy with AVG in the past.

You'll have to alter your scan settings. You can run a quick scan(6k files) or a full scan(all files). Just open the AVG Access icon/shortcut on your desktop to get to it. :)
