Yes! I miss the days of chivalry where men offered to pay for things. Most girls today have no problem helping out with finances, but it would be nice if a guy offered! She would think he's a gentleman...and so would her parents, more than likely.

in all honesty, I think the man should pay if it is his choice/idea to do something, especially if it's a dance. Yes, I'm one of those guys who insist that the men pay, open doors, bring flowers and chocolate....etc.. lol and I think it really does make a difference to the impression you give the girl if you do.

Whoever came up with the idea to go to the dance should pay, or each person just pay for themselves. It's only fair.

I have four children and four step-children, and it has gone both ways with them. He should offer to pay for her ticket. If she says she doesn't want him to, then that is okay. Even though we live in a "women's lib" world, a little chivalry goes a long way. A young man still needs to be a gentleman. Thanks for asking.

Depends...if he's younger like 6th grade and under, then no...but if he's in like 7th grade or higher, then yes...it's appropriate...
