Yeah in a sick and sad way looks do matter, but only in the sense that your looks are appealing to the person who wants you. The world is funny. What is beauty? Isn't beauty in the eye of the beholder? Why worry about how other people view you? Industry, thrift, and self control are not sought because they build wealth, but because they build character. If someone is attracted to you or is interested in you, then hey its a moot point, because that person already likes your looks. Otherwise, that person wouldn't be giving you the time of the day.

The truth is that looks do matter to an extent because we live in a visual society. Or to put it another way, if you went to a dance and saw two guys(one good looking and another not so), chances are that a) the good looking guy would catch your eye first; b) if you were approached by someone you didn't find so visually attractive - chances are his approach would be rejected before you got a chance to know what his personality is really like.

Looks, I would say act like an ice breaker but only get you so far and then the rest is personality all the way.

Hope that helps!

YEs, but they are the most important thing..
First, we meet most people in a visual aspect first. That means there has to be an initial attaction for conversation to begin. That conversation can make the person more attractive.
I've always said this.. looks aren't the most important thing, but I'm also not waking up to someone who makes me want to vomit everyday.
I've also seen very attractive people who had crap for personalities who made me want to use my show to catch throw up..so.. yeah, looks really do matter..but they are not most important, and contrary to popular belief it's not looks as in "you have to look like a freakin' model" to be considered hot in your own way.

to a lot of people unfortunately yes, you'll find that the beautiful like to hang out with the beautiful, take a look at Hollywood for instance can you see brad Pitt hanging out with a unattractive girl or scarlet o Hansen dating a nerd, to me its inside is what counts but that doesn't mean anything these days which is really sad, cause everyone has beauty some people just don't open their eyes to see it, be proud of who you are and walk with your head held up high, i do everyday and i am beautiful. just like you

No. If you have a great personality, and are nice, that shines through. And if people don't see whats good in you, they are never worth it. Looks matter to those who are superficial and shallow.

Good grooming counts.

Don't focus on bone structure, or weight or eye color or that BS. A guy your age cares about how clean you look, how nice you smell, etc. Teenage boys aren't looking for Pamela Anderson.

Looks are a plus, but a relationship can't only be about looks or you will be miserable! Don't worry about looks too much.

At first maybe, but you soon realize there are more things in a person then how they look.

Of course they do, but if the one you're with REALLY doesn't mind what you look like then it's fine

No, but that also depends on the person. As long as you don't look scary.
