Well, I don't know ghd or nikki clarke, but I would suggest a straightener with ceramic plates (they are much more effective). Personally, I use a Conair and it is wonderful and straightens my hair beautifully. I hope this helps.

I swear by my GHD's. The Nicky Clarke ones just don't seem to do the job as well...

Deffinetly GHDs, i have been using them for the last 3 years, they are fantastic, they not only straighten your hair, but u can flick it, and curl it aswell. They also have a warranty and all u do is send them away and they send them back like new.
They are fantastic
