Depends on your price range. If you are willing to pay $200, then a good straightener would be either a Sedu or a Chi. In the $20-30 dollar price range, Conair and Revlon make good straighteners, but they may not work as well or last as long.
Make sure you get a ceramic straightener, because metal straighteners damage hair and are not as good.

pretty much anywhere.. keep in mind going to a hair salon you're going to pay more. i got mine at walmart.. it's by revlon.. and was about $20

at a sallon is the best place because they only use high quality ones themselves, buying ones at wal mart, drug stores, target ect ect will not make your hair sleek and shiny

the ion straighner/curlers work very well..i have one, but crap i forgot the name of it. it was $120 but it works VERY well
