OMG. its almost like i wrote your question myself. i have the EXACT SAME PROBLEM. My home, office, car, shed, have to be psychotically labeled and organized or I go ballistic. the worst is my cds. If ONE is missing, i know which on it is, and i will cry until i figure out what happened to it. God bless my bf, he tries to help clean and straiten the house for me, but he just cant do it like me, nobody can. I mean, he could scrub a fork the same way i do, but it wouldnt be the same cuz I didnt do it. And god forbid he tries to fold the towels. I always unfold all of them and fold them back perfect. It sucks!!! So i know how you feel completely. Youre not a virgo by any chance are you?? lol. I told my doc about this, and he said im just a perfectionist and that i dont have ocd. OCD is having habitual rituals that must be performed. and if not, cause great stress and anxiety. I also have panic attacks, and if i have to go in a crowd and somebodys hand touches me??? ballistic. it sucks. they tried to put me on zoloft but i felt like a crazed psycho coming off of a speed trip. crappy feeling.

WE ARE NOT DOCTORS SO NO ONE SHOULD DIAGNOSE YOU OR JUDGE YOU.
I THOUGHT I HAD IT AND GOT TESTED BY A PSYCHIATRIST. I AM TYPE A PERSONALITY AND LIKE THINGS VERY ORGANIZED. I DO NOT HAVE OCD BUT DID SUFFER FROM LOW GRADE DEPRESSION AND HAD A LOT OF ISSUES BROUGHT ON FROM MY CHILD HOOD AND TRYING TO CONTROL THINGS HELPED ME FEEL MORE SAFE.
I DID TAKE MEDICATION FOR AWHILE AND WENT TO COUNSELING. I AM MUCH MORE RELAXED AND I CAN LET THINGS GO NOW. I TO SUFFER FROM ANXIETY BUT USE RELAXATION TECHNIQUES THEY TAUGHT ME TO HANDLE THIS. I WILL GIVE YOU SOME LINKS TO READ ABOUT OCD
MY SUGGESTION IS TO TALK THIS OVER WITH YOUR DOCTOR.
NOW WHEN SOMEONE IN MY FAMILY HELPS ME IF ITS NOT DONE RIGHT I TRY TO BE THANKFUL THEY MADE THE EFFORT AND I THANK THEM AND CLEAN UP WHAT I FEEL IS NOT DONE RIGHT WHEN THEY ARE NOT AROUND SO I DON'T HURT THERE FEELINGS OR CAUSE AN ARGUMENT. ITS JUST UN-DUE STRESS FOR ME TO YELL.
I HOPE YOU FEEL BETTER AS I KNOW THIS IS VERY SERIOUS WAY TO FEEL
GOOD LUK.. GOD BLESS!!!!

Sounds like it, My aunt is like that and I have my own version of OCD which is greatly reduced from what it used to be. That's the good news: however screwed up you feel right now there is hope and help available. Go see a Doctor who will refer you to a Physcologist who will show you practical ways to help yourself, relaxation and medication which can help as well. That's my story and God helped me as well, I still have a few niggles but nothing too major but it used to rue my life and my thoughts so there definitely is HOPE. God Bless. JB

Clearly you are not happy, but going from what you say, you possibly do not have OCD. What little information you have given seems to me to indicate you have issues about control; you do not say you are cleaning over and over again, simply that it must be done your way, the right way. Many people who are insecure suffer from control issues. Many feel they have little or no control over "the big picture" of their lives, so the parts of it they can control, they do so excessively. Talk to your doctor and get advice on the specialist support you need. Good luck, I hope things work out for you!

Yes, you have OCD. You must see a doctor because the longer it is left untreated, the worse it will get. My mother had this same problem and she would spank the crap out of me when I was a kid, for being messy. It ruined our relationship growing up but I have forgiven her, now that I know it is an illness.
Best of luck to you sweetie!

Sounds like you do, you should try talking to a professional about it as I know how hard it can be and nobody deserves to suffer on in silence. You could also try this website for support www.nomorepanic.co.uk
