Your first step shold be to engage an attorney who specilaizes in immigration matters. It will not be easy and if you mess up the paperwork it will be very easy to deport your husband. Be prepared for it to take several years.

Check http://www.uscis.gov for information.
First step would be Adjustment of Status (Form I-485) but since you married an illegal alien, i'm not sure how to start.
