I'm always concerned about my sister because she's always in bad moods and always yelling. A few months ago she was prescribed medecine for her depression?(some emotional thing) Well, she's 14. Today I was snooping around in her room(becuase she never tells me anything) and I found a suicide note. She said how she was a mistake and she loves her friends. She said that she loves me even though she never shows it and she loves everyone. I showed it to my mom and she's calling my sister's phycologist. I'm really scared. I love her and I don't want her to be mad at me. I'm just sad and scared. I'm 13 and I really am too young for this.

My sister won't let me hang out with her. She doesn't even ever let me hug her! I'm really afraid that she'll find out and be mad at me!

Her doctor may need to review the medications she is on. Sometimes depression medications increase the desire for suicide in teenagers. Try to be there for her, and just be her friend and don't judge her.

Your mom is doing the right thing, there is a yahoo group called Relativesofpeoplewithbipolar, which would be a great help to your mom and you. Always take notes like this seriously you did the right thing. I have a 21 year old son who has had manic depression since he was 6. It is very difficult. When people are depressed they go to a bad place where they can do many things they would not normally do. They need a friend or sister in your case who can bring them up and walk them or talk them through it. Sometimes my son just needs someone to listen.
That is the best thing you can do for your sister is to let her vent.
Sometimes kids get down and you can help her keep from feeling like her situation is hopeless, remember this is not YOUR fault and you absolutely did a very grown up thing. Keep your chin up because you can be a good friend to your sis whether she realizes it now or not.

You are only 13 and you did the right thing. Your sister might be mad at you for a little while, but she will get over it. It is important right now to get her the help she needs before it is too late. Good job.

Due to the fact that she wrote a suicide note, I would suspect that she realized that you, or someone in your family would find it, so I'd think she's probably trying to frighten you. Teenagers go through these phases in their lives. I wouldn't worry to much if I were you, however that does not mean you should neglect her, but teenagers like attention, and sometimes they'll do rather bizzare things to get it!

You are right sweetie, you ARE to young for this; I went throught something similar. Just believe in your heart that what you did was for your sister's best interest because you love her! Things can only get better for her if she gets the right help. Know and tell your sister that you love her! Hope I could help, sweetie.

If there is still love in her heart there may be hope for her, most people consider suicide but dont act because they dont want to leave people they care about behind. i am hoping this is your sisters case. i feel for you maybe her phcologist should try to figure out why she is so depressed, maybe are youre parents really hard on her?

I hope your Mom didn't tell her you found it. But even if she did...in time, your sister will understand and see that you only did it b/c you love her. Just be there for her and always let her know she's loves.

YOUR SISTER IS IN DEPRESSION AND ALTHOUGH THEY KNOW YOU LOVE THEM AND THEY LOVE YOU IT CAN BE HARD TO SHOW THAT. AND WITH THE MOODSWINGS IT CAN BE EASIER TO KEEP PEOPLE AWAW.
I AM BIPOLAR WITH MOOD SWINGS AND MY DOCTOR TOLD ME IM BETTER OFF WITH OUT MEDS BECAUSE THEY CAN MAKE THE MOOD SWINGS WORSE. THERE ARE MEDS FOR THE MOOD SWINGS BUT THEY ARE EXPENSIVE.
HOPE THINGS GET WORKED OUT. MAYBE ALL SHE NEEDS IS DIFFERENT MEDS OR A LOWER DOSAGE. SOMETIMES THE MEDS JUST MAKE THE SUICIDAL THOUGHTS WORSE SO IF ITS CORRECTED FAST THE BETTER. MY PRAYERS ARE WITH YOU.
