i have liked this guy for about 3 years. we were on and off for a while. so we finally decided to just be friends. for a while, everything was fine. life was going great. i thought i was moving on and letting it all go. then i hear he is engaged. i freaked out. turns out it was all a joke, and that he really doesn't even have a girlfriend. but now i'm wondering what is with me? why did i react that way? what should i do now?

I think maybe you still have feelings for him. You still want that someday he will be yours again. Perhaps you are over reacting. Move on if it's not worth it.

not so much experience in this area, but I think your emotions are playing tricks on you because- It is natural to freak out when you hear that someone is engaged- then again if you question whether or not you have feelings for him, you probably do. I don't know what you should do, but I hope that helped at least a little

you still like him huh?? mm if he doesnt have a gf..why dont you get someone to ask him whats going on..maybe he still likes you too..its been 3 yrs..shouldnt just let that feelin go to waste.
