Can someone please tell me some home remedies they have tried to help get rid of a migraine? Please name something that has helped you. This migraine is very bad does yours get bad and what helps you?

I've had Imatrex before but ran out and don't have the money to get more so can you please name a home remedy.

My sister uses Imitrex, and swears by it. It used to be administered only by injection, but now they've made it available in capsule form. See http://www.Imitrex.com
Also, I used to try an ice pack on my head. It helps minimally, but at least it did something.

This is one of the most powerful of the headache home remedies. It's somewhat different for everyone, because everyone associates different types of smells with different things. However, there are some aromas that stand out from the crowd as headache killers: peppermint, sandlewood , lavender(my favorite), and eucalyptus. Try each of these, and combinations. Use essential oils for massage, or use candles or soaps.

I take 2 midol and 2 alleve :(

Not really a home remedy but I swear by it for migraines
