In their prime. 12 rounds, Klitschko would die if it went 15.
While we are at it go ahead and match him against the two "Ruskies" , Maskaev, Valuev.
Norton just popped into my head, interested in what you think the results would be.

Interesting question Brent! Ken Norton was one hell of a fighter and he obviously faced much tougher competitiion during his career. He beat Ali once and lost two very close decisions to him in their trilogy of fights. Klitschko has a good punch and a decent jab but I believe that Norton would really bust him up inside and set it all up with his very quick and underrated jab. By the 9th round a very weary Klitschko has taken a lot of punishment and the referee has to stop the fight. I believe that the same result would occur give or take a few rounds against the other guys with Norton prevailing. He was just a lot better fighter than any of these heavyweights today in my opinion.

Klitschko would have a size advantage and can bang, if (a big 2 letter word) he comes out aggressive (a reach) a would go for an early ko then norton`s jaw can be dented as losses to shavers, cooney and foreman has shown hmmmmmm wait a minute in the history of heavyweight boxing as far as hardest hitters of all time those 3 can all be considered ...ok thats my take klitschko`s only chance is to jump on Norton at the bell if he does`nt get the job done by the end of the 2nd then norton hurts klitschko and stops him in 6th rd, i can`t see klitschko going all out too much of a boxer safety first attitude so i see norton winning.

You can't be serious about this being a dream match! Ken Norton probably fought some of the best fighters of all time like say Ali! And Klitschko has fought decent but not that great of fighter and plus watching the fight the other day and I saw he had gotten knocked out in the 2nd round of one of his earlier fights. But to answer the question Norton in the 2nd round, breaks Klitschko's glass jaw!!!!!!

Norton - W 42 (KO's 32) TF 50 - W pct 84% - KO pct 64% - wins over Ali, J. Quarry, Bobbick, Young and Cobb - KO'ed by Cooney, Foreman and Shavers (all in 1st or 2nd rd)
He was originally scheduled to play "Apollo Creed"
Father of football player, Ken Norton Jr
W. Klitschko - W 47 (KO's 42) TF 50 - W pct 94% - KO pct 84% - wins over Byrd{2}, Mercer and Botha - KO'ed by L. Brewster, Sanders and R. Puritty
Note: Norton was some what overrated as fighter - All he ever did was break Ali's jaw and have 3 good fights against Ali and a great fight with Holmes
He was a paper champion; he was given his title because Ali chose to fight Spinks
Note: Klitschko is a whole lot overrated. Plus as a true American I could never cheer for a Russian.
This fight has 2 possible outcomes - Norton could get KO'ed in the early rd's (it has happened to him before). Klitschko has stamina problems, so in later Klitschko could get KO'ed in later rds.anywhere after the 7th rd.

interesting question. norton was a capable pug, but could be bombed out early by sluggers. however, none of the fighters from the east seem to have puncher's mentality. they are classic european boxers. they stand straight up, chins high, punch at targets as though they were stationary & are prone to square up & get caught out of position. none i've seen fight at any pace either. norton shouldnt have any trouble taking wlad or oleg into the middle rounds & stopping them. valuev could be dangerous for ken, if he can land a jab/st right combination w/o looking like he's on a slomotion reel. the man's got a hundred foot reach & an arm the size of a welterweight. im not scummin' euro boxers, just stating fact. i wonder what some of these guys could be if they moved to the US young & got top-shelf trainers. who would teach them balance, footwork, defense and how to execute power structures & hit moving targets. just something to think about

a huge aggresive puncher like Norton might want to take out Wladimir contained in the second one round, If Sanders might want to get to him so might want to Norton, Wladimir has been fed a steady weight-loss plan of fellows who stand in the front of his jab without idea what or lacking the balls to attempt to get interior. Norton does not be scared and he's familiar with the thanks to parry a jab, the first time Norton lands this strive against is over. Norton KO 2

Actually, Norton was never good against the taller fighters. It would probably go like the Cooney fight. :)
