This is an extremely emotional issue. But we must look to the Bible for an answer, even though it may not be to our liking. Firstly, WHO has a heavenly calling? Revelation 7;4 & 14;1 states ONLY 144,000. The Bible reads like it applies only to Jews, becausue it was written in their day. However, the Good News that Jesus preached was taken to the rest of the world, the Gentiles, by the apostle Peter witnessing to the Roman, Cornelius.[ Acts 10]
Therefore the 144,000 is out of the whole world.
But billions have died. Where are they? Simply 'asleep' in death awaiting resurrection.
INCLUDING INNOCENT BABIES.
the 144,000 are all, or have been, mature people who have been selected to assist Jesus in the judging [ 1 Corinthians 6; 2,3]
BABIES WITH NO WORLDLY EXPERIENCE CANNOT QUALIFY.
The condition of the dead is explained at Ecclesiastes 9; 5,6 and as to being 'asleep' in death, the scriptures are Psalm 13;3...Daniuel 12;2...and (Acts 7:60) Then, bending his knees, he cried out with a strong voice: “Jehovah, do not charge this sin against them.” And after saying this he fell asleep [in death].

Other scriptures are; Acts 13;36...1 Corinthians 7;39...15;6,18,20,51...1 Thess.;4;14....and (2 Peter 3:4) and saying: “Where is this promised presence of his? Why, from the day our forefathers fell asleep [in death], all things are continuing exactly as from creation’s beginning.”

None of these scriptures say anything about 'going to heaven'
Some do, but not all.

I believe that ALL babies and little children go to heave.....period. God is not going to cast out an innocent child.

This might come as a shocker,....but there are many Democrats who are Christians! Unfortunately, just because Democrats now control congress does not mean that gays will instantly be given rights. Those issues will still go up for a vote, and sadly, there are Democrats out there who do not want gays to marry---just as many Republicans don't. There ARE Republicans who are homosexual,....Republicans are not entirely to blame for gays rights not being passed. That prejudice seems to be bipartisan.

Being a "liberal," (I use that term loosely) does not automatically mean that someone is totally left on all issues.

Yes babies go to heaven if they die young because they don't know better when they are young and if they commit a sin and die the next day it has no effect on them.

Nowhere in the Bible does it say that babies go to heaven when they die. But in Acts, it talks about the resurrection of the ones that know God and also ones that never got a chance to know Him and will get that chance.
