You do not have to go thru an agency to adopt. There is whats called a private adoption where it is just you, your attorney and the birth mother involved. Look into it. Call an adoption lawyer and they can give you more information. Good luck!

That's awesome!
It's possible. Your physical challenges will come into consideration probably depending on the progression status. Although, I have recently seen young children taking care of their physically challenged parents on Oprah. Be prepared for an extensive journey. It takes a lot of time. In most cases a few years.
I wish you the best and hope all goes well for the two of you. I think any child would be blessed and fortunate to have you as parents. You are a stellar example of humanity wanting to adopt.

Yes! I admire you both for wanting to parent despite your physical limitations. Before you go right for wanting to adopt a perfect infant (which could take a 'normal' couple years), could I recommend that there are plenty of special needs children, infants even, who might really feel at home with your loving family. They might also be quicker/easier to adopt and would normally have a much slimmer chance of being adopted otherwise. Good luck and God bless!

As long as you can prove you will be good parents and provide for the kid's needs, I don't see why they would have a problem. (I am assuming you are talking about muscular dystrophy and cerebral palsy, right?) I guess it would depend on the state as well. Call them. It can't hurt to ask. Good luck!
