The Catholic Church believes there is nothing sinful about being homosexual. But homosexuals like all unmarried people are called to celibacy.
The Church specifically says that homosexuals "must be accepted with respect, compassion, and sensitivity. Every sign of unjust discrimination in their regard should be avoided."
With love in Christ.

Those gays are closer to the Truth of the Catholic Church than you are, if I may be blunt. The Catholic Church teaches that merely being gay is not a sin.
Homosexual acts, however, are sinful. And, when you consider the fact that all sex acts that take place outside a marital bond are sinful, it becomes obvious that the Catholic Church is not nearly the homophobic organization some people (want to) believe it is.
Merely starting a new church, based on a different interpretation of the Bible is a disingenuous solution. There is only one Bible, there is only one Divine Author of the Bible. Given that there is only one Divine Author, we must consider not our personal interpretations but the interpretation that the one Divine Author intended for us. Forming separate Churches at the drop of a hat is not a Biblical practice. "Woe to thee who call evil good and good evil." That is a Biblical belief and pratice.

The Bible says the practice is WRONG.
(1 Corinthians 6:9) What! Do YOU not know that unrighteous persons will not inherit God’s kingdom? Do not be misled. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men kept for unnatural purposes, nor men who lie with men,
(1 Timothy 1:10) fornicators, men who lie with males, kidnappers, liars, false swearers, and whatever other thing is in opposition to the healthful teaching
Any religious organisation that ignores or denies these scriptures cannot have God's approval.

Actually, the Catholic Church is more welcoming of homosexuals than most protestant churches.

Beliefs of Protestants are similar -- so I'm not sure why you are singling out the Catholics.
But I wonder why you would want to be Catholic (or Protestant) if you are straight -- so I'm not sure you are singling out the gays.
