I don't hate them. I have several gay friends, and I try to stand up for their rights. I think that in the long run, gay rights will turn out like civil rights did 30 years ago. Gay marriage will be approved, and most people won't think any more of it than they would seeing a black man and a white woman holding hands. There will always be bigots, of course, but not many, and most will at least keep their views to themselves.

Religion doesn't affect my view, except to thing that a lot of people try to disguise their bigotry as religious beliefs.

And if you look back a little, you'll see that most of the major religions opposed a mixed race marriage. Don't see that much now, do you? So much for the "eternal, unending, unchanging" part.

Depends on what they are like as a person. their sexuality bears no influence on my opinion of them... or anyone. I've always been like that but yes my religion does encourage/promote us to be VERY accepting of everyones differences!

Personally I have great respect for people that have struggled with their sexuality, no-one can imagine just how difficult it is unless they have done it. And these people that says its a choice make me sick, why would anyone choose to have all the small minded bigots in the world out to get them huh? Why do animals 'choose' to be gay?

Sorry, a hot topic with me I HATE prejudice in any form no matter what the reason!

love them, not in a "I am gay" sort of way, but in the love everyone as you have been loved sort of way. Religion totally affects my view. Or I guess a better word than religion would be teachers. Jesus' teachings have affected my views. He hung with the people who were most outcasted, tax collectors in His day would be the gay's in our day. (or at least one of the outcasted groups)

I don't really feel one way or another about gays. They should be free to do what they want. I just wouldn't want a gay guy coming on to me. Not because of my religion, for I have none, but because of my unwavering heterosexuality.

I love those gay and lesbian friends and family members I know and love, but it's not their "gayness" that makes me love them. I don't use the word love for people I don't know, but I stand up for equal rights for all homosexual citizens because I believe equality to be just. I support that cause for precisely the same reason I have always supported women's rights and the Civil Rights movement. I have no religion, partly because religions tend to ask one to believe unbelievable things and act against one's conscience.

Neither. They're just people. And my religion has nothing to do with it, though Wicca is more accepting than almost any other religion.

I don't hate anybody. I dont' like the lifestyle, and I should not be forced to teach my kids it is okay. My religion (Christianity) feels it is a sinful relationship, just like having sex out of marriage.
