Be honest with them about whatever it is you know you are in trouble for, they will respect you for coming clean. Remember trust is earned and starts with honesty, your parents don't expect you to be perfect, but if you want privileges you have to try to live within the rules and be honest, At our house the worst thing one can do is lie. Don't get me wrong you will still have to deal with what ever it is you've done but if you are dishonest the penalty is much much higher.
A lie is much more difficult to keep track of than the truth.

You gave no details as the kind of trouble you are in. Whatever it is, I suggest telling the truth, apologizing for any behavior, and graciously accept whatever consequences are given. Don't do it (whatever it was) again.

lie!!! it depends on the trouble really... just make up some excuse... but remember.. parents are smart... theve been there... try and explain to them and whilst you do that cry a little.. works for me... especially with my dad.... i find men are softer than women when it comes to getting a sympathy vote :D
