In front of the cave stood a tree. As dusk fell, a bat flew out of the cave and, using its sonar, expertly flitted through the branches of the tree and off into the night. A split second later came another bat... through the branches of the tree and off into the gathering dusk. Then another bat... THUNK! straight into the trunk of the tree, from where it slithered to the ground. Picking itself up, it was heard to say:
