So why do illegal aliens call Americans racists? Considering America consists of every race and nationality known to man, as a whole, who are we being racists against. So illegal immigrant is a racist term? Then I guess immigrant is a racist term as well. I actually looked in the dictionary and illegal alien is actually a politically correct term for anyone who enters another country illegally. I also read recently that 56% of legal Mexican citizens are for illegal immigration. So does that make the other 44% racists against illegals?

Calling us racist just because we are against illegal aliens being in our country is completely absurd. If they don't like us they really should consider going back across the border where they truly belong. Americans shouldn't have to change to make them happy, or feel welcome. It's not our responsibility. THEY aren't our responsibility.

Americans are not all racist, and the illegal immigration debate is certainly not racist. The simple fact is this- the United States has an intense past of racial discrimination and servitude(though we are certainly not the only country). We stand in the way of what illegals want- amnesty. They do not understand that this is a multifaceted problem that costs the taxpayer while benefitting big business. They only see what they want to get, and they are using the past misdeeds and slander to try and get it because they truly cannot justify their presence here.

Although I believe that people should be here legally, Americans are acting like illegal immigration is new. It's been happening for YEARS. I think that there has been propaganda from politicians and ads that use a series of words that make it seem as if America is being racist, when in actuality, America is putting its foot down. We're a little late, but we're putting our foot down. I would also like to know the origin of those stats. Besides, I have heard some comments from actual racists regarding illegal immigration, but I don't think it's fair to label the American nation racist.

People who break immigration laws whether they be white, black, yellow, brown, pink, or red should not expect to be welcomed by the people of the country whose laws they are breaking. It does not have to have anything to do with racism. People who say this is racist are simply uninformed or liars. On the other hand somepeople in the US definitely are racist against Mexicans.
There must to several definitions of racism that are used during any such discussion. Probably the term means something different to each person, because the term is interpreted based on ones past experience and ones own race/ethnicity.
I use the term to mean that one person is acting like they think they are better than another person solely based on their race. A person that thinks this way is a racist. Also if a person thinks they are better than someone else based on the comparison of many behaviors other than race then it does not mean racism is involved. It is just discernment.
This type of discernment may or may not be accurate but unless it is based on an idea that ones race is inherently biologically superior to another race, it is not racism.
What a person likes or dislikes in another person does not have to have anything related to racism. A person may not like much about the way most people of another race look or act but that may not have anything to do with racism.
As an example to all of this, take my self, my wife and my youngest son. My son has dated a number of girls from different race/ethnic groups than our own. My wife and I are from western European descent 3rd and 4th generation immigrants to the USA. Our son has seriously dated Italians, Filipinas, Mexicans, Peruvians, and girls a lot like him in background, and my wife and I treat each girl like she could be our beloved daughter in-law some day. However, we think marriage will have a greater chance of success if my son and his future wife have as much in common as is possible. That feeling/idea is based on discernment not racism. We certainly would not want our son to marry an illegal alien regardless of her race or ethnicity.

Being against illegals does not make you a racist. It just means you want to protect your country. In this case the United States.

i think this, that the illegals are just that then they need to get a green card or better yet GO HOME!!!!!!!!! They take the jobs of people who are legal and citizens. I don't think it's racist; that's what they are and peopole are wanting their own territory back.I'm tired of being turned down for work because some guy who works cheaper will get the job and not even be legal. when i was born here.
