yeah what a stupid thing to say beck...i mean how can you not know how to interact just because you are home schooled....your social skill are not determined by where you are educated...education, means learning...not socializing, that is done separately, my children socialize an awful lot with children who go to school, but i just want to get them some interaction with some kids who have similar lives. im glad my kids arent socializing whilst learning, they'll learn a whole lot more and faster.
Education in the class room ( ours being a class of 4 in our home)
socializing afterwards (my kids do 4 different activities and sports each a week, not to mention the endless sleepovers, days out, playing in the street, and interacting before and after school with other kids so theres no chance of them not knowing how to "socialize"
why cant people get this through their thick heads?...yes there are people who don't do it right but that doesn't mean we all don't!!!

It'd be nice if naysayers only provided their opinion when asked for it, wouldn't it?

Try contacting the lady from this page:

She seems to have done things in Adelaide.

You may not want my opinion, but I think homeschooling is often a severe disadvantage to kids. Kids who are homeschooled often have no idea how to interact with others in a normal way. I have never met a homeschooled kid who isn't totally odd. They just can't relate to other kids properly, which leads to them being outsiders if they join normal school later, and if not then they have to go out and try and get jobs or go to uni, places where people skills are really important. I know it's your decision and I don't know your situation and that's fine but I just thought I'd offer you another point of view. That being said, I think it's fantastic that you're trying to find other kids for them to interact with, keep it up! : )
