The best way would be to keep your dog crated throughout the night.

If you don't want to do that, then the other way would be to limit the dogs food intake after a certain hour. Make sure it has had plenty of opportunities to go outside after that time. Take one more walk before you go to bed and it should be fine.

Most dogs won't poop where they sleep, but if you find your dog cannot go through the night without going, maybe go to the vet to rule out any medical issues.

Put the dog in a crate during the night. Most dogs won't mess where they sleep. The crate should be big enough for the dog to stand, turn around and lay down only. Crate mfgs will list how to measure for the correct size.

I'm not sure how old your dog is but, you can make sure your pet goes out as late as possible,to relieve himself, before you go to bed. You can also have your pet sleep in a crate. Don't give food after six p.m. and water after seven. Good luck!

Feed him at a resonable hour. An hour after he's had his dinner, take him for a nice walk to stimulate the bowel. Once back home, don't give him any more food until the morning.

you can make an area that the dog has limited space and keep him in there and place something for him to go on, then after while remove the gate (or whatever you used) and keep the item you placed down for him to go on in the same spot. so he will start going to that spot to go. thats all i can think of.

ok put him in a cage then day by day make the cage smaller by putting a "wall" ( of cardboard or something )

this way the dog will hold it in becuase he won't want to poop where he's sleeping
