How many real "allies" does the United States have?

I think the UK and Israel would maybe not defend, but provide weapons, aid and support. Sadly, there aren't many pro-USA folks in the world now so whoever helped you's government would get a public tongue lashing.

I would say the U.K. is one. One or two countries in Europe.

But I would first call the U.K. if our country needed help.

Israel is also a VERY strong Ally. I personally admire Israel. Imagine that just in the U.S. every single state wanted to kill the state of Washington. They would announce it publicly, attack them, and try to mess with Washington all they can and every way they can. That is what Israel is going through.

True allies. I would trust the UK, Canada.
Japan and South Korea for the present.

all US current very close allies: Saoudi Arabia, Pakistan, Irak, Turkey and Afghanistan. the US can sleep quiet.

Perhaps Iran too, they are now very endebted to the USA with Hussein removal (and hanging).

Israel perhaps (if not too busy elsewhere).
