I've heard that this removes all unnatural color from your hair, but how will it effect my natural hair color? I have very healthy hair, and have been trying to fix a color mistake and get back to my natural color, and have had it colord three times this week and it's still pretty healthy. I just don't know much about this and would like to hear from people who have either had it done or know what they are talking about. thanks!

Stripping your hair is taking out unwanted artificial color with bleach. Does it ruin the integrity of your hair? Probably. Some people think that if you strip the color out of your hair it'll take it back to it's natural state...not true. You have to apply another color after stripping because it's usually brassy, and you have to condition it more since the bleach will dry it out.
Your best bet is to go to a reputable salon and ask for a consultation. They'll tell you what they need to do and should give you a price quote.

Stripping the hair is a bleaching process which isn't good for your hair. Since you've alrdy colored it 3x this week (which is not good for your hair either) I would wait a week or two before doing anything else to your hair. My sister-in-law went through this about 2 years ago. Her hair fell out. It was about shoulder length when she started, when she finished messing with her hair...it was almost above her ears.

After you wait a week or so, like one of the other respondents said, do a strip test. If it turns out okay...go ahead and have the rest done but by a licensed beautician.

Good luck! :)

Having your hair stripped is the equivalent of having it bleached out. The stripping is a bleaching process, it's just that some people refer to it differently than others. The effect? It all depends on how your hair behaves. Sometimes, bleaching the hair causes dry, brittle hair, and you have to nurse it back to health with good conditioners. Others have absolutely no issues at all with bleaching or stripping. My suggestion?? Do a test strip underneath your hair before investing a huge chunk of money in the process. Worst case scenerio, you have a mini blonde streak underneath your hair, to which you can snip out, if it's ungodly horrible. Either that, or you'll be really hip with a rogue blonde streak peeking out.

STRIPPED IS HIGHLIGHTED. HIGHLIGHTS ARE BLEACH. BLEACH WILL HURT YOUR HAIR. IF YOU KEEP YOUR TRIMMED EVERY SIX WEEKS AND KEEP DOING CONDITIONING TREATMENTS, THEN YOUR HAIR WON'T BE IN BAD SHAPE. I THINK HIGHLIGHTS ARE PRETTY. IT'S JUST THAT PEOPLE DON'T KNOW HOW TO TAKE CARE OF THEM. COLOR DOESN'T HURT YOUR HAIR LIKE BLEACH DOES. BLEACH IS PRETTY DAMAGING. IN MY PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL OPINION, IF YOU WANTED TO GET THEM YOU CAN, BUT KEEP THEM SMALL. YOU DON'T NEED THICK HIGHLIGHTS. IF THEY ARE SMALL, THEIR LESS DAMAGING AND THEY ALSO LOOK MORE NATURAL. BUT IT'S ALL UP TO YOU. HOPE THIS HELPS :)
