It is salty. The big difference is that no additive are in it and it is processed organically. Regular table salt has chemical additive introduced through its manufacturing process.

I prefer sea salt, because it is a natural product of the Earth. As far as actual difference in "taste" goes, I don't detect any. However, my mother-in-law swears that sea salt tastes much better than regular table salt.

Personally, I believe that one can hypnotize themselves into believing almost anything, if they want to believe it bad enough.

i live in malta where i can actually see sea salt being processed. I have tasted it and it tastes like salt because its salty, sea salt comes out of the water and is dried naturally and then cleaned and packaged. its a lot coarser than table salt

I do collect salt back home.

salt cleans it self.

it tastes better than the normal salt. it is great for cooking, and also great to sprinkle on bread.
