Yes, but it's in no way indicative of "man - hating." I love men; I just think that people ideal enough to spend your life with in general are hard to find.
That said, I search for these:
1) A sense of humor; more specifically one that is quick witted and slightly off kilter (think Mr. Show, Stella, adult swim, Simpsons, etc), and can make me laugh.
2) Affectionate and very hands on. None of this "I don't kiss in public" baloney. And that carries to the bedroom too. I need very very touchy/feely and sensual.
3) Doesn't carry the idea of commitment is something frightening and controlling (ahhh!!! run away!!!!!!), but something that can be fun and exciting . Or at least, someone who upfront about how they feel. Nothing worse than a guy pulling out just as things get serious.
Things like daddy potential, ambition (no need to be loaded, just contain the desire to be a productive member of society), and looks. By looks I don't mean, he has to be {insert preference here}. I mean I just have to be physically attracted to him, and my tastes run the gamut.
So hard? Maybe.
Impossible. Not at all.
Hope that answers it.

I would say YES. Alas, I seem to have no luck finding such a guy. Even my last husband, who SEEMED so perfect and loving...turned out to be sniveling coward who simply walked away from our marriage.
Maybe I just don't know how to spot them! Got any suggestions!

Yes guys now days have lost a lot of respect for women. They also seem to wait longer before getting married. They should feel sorry for us instead of getting married in our 20's now we are getting married in our 30's because men are waiting until they are in their 40's.

totally, to many dependent personality types now, i don't like a weak minded man. it's become ok for men to be slobs and losers, unacceptable. I'm not looking for a father for children just a man, the pickings are slim.

I don't. As long as you are positive and confident, you will attract positive and confident people. You just have to open your eyes and be careful about who you trust and give your heart to. I think that both men and women need to make that decision to grow up and be responsible.

Eh... it's hard to find a man that's right for ME, but there are definitely many out there that I know could make wonderful mates for others.
..lot of sorry punks too, though.

even though I'm not even close to thinking about marrying someone in the near future...it is extremely difficult to find a guy who has any of these qualities

Yes. And usually when you do find him he is not wrapped up in the package you had wanted. I have not yet found one man who had it all.
