Otherwise we'd have, I don't know, a nation-wide persecution of left-handed people, for instance. Or women. Or even whites.

The Bible identifies sinners who break the eternal law of God.

The Bible does not say homosexuals are sinners. Everyone not married is to live a celibate life. The Bible says anyone who has sex outside of marriage is a sinner.

The teaching of the Catholic Church follows this concept:

There is nothing sinful about being homosexual. But homosexuals like all unmarried people are called to celibacy.

The Church specifically says that homosexuals "must be accepted with respect, compassion, and sensitivity. Every sign of unjust discrimination in their regard should be avoided."

With love in Christ.

The bible discriminates against whoever doesn't believe. If that includes left-handed people or women or whites then they are descriminated against. And besides, in people's little minds, they descriminate against others every day, whether it be out loud or in quiet. Its the dark part of human nature.

Dear furious_c,

Your analogy is inaccurate. Romans 1 describes homosexuality as an act of rebellion against God where man has chosen to do what his right in his own eyes- and the result was that because man chose to worship the creature instead of the creator- God allowed them to follow the own darkness of their hearts- and homosexuality was one of the things that came about from man's insistence on following his own heart.

Being a women, left handed, or white, is not the result of any "rebelliousness" against God. While over the course of history there have been Christian groups who have not accurately displayed the love of God in reaching out to homosexuals.

Homosexuality is a lifestyle that carries many destructive consequences- rates of promiscuity are much higher among homosexuals than heterosexuals. (for example).

Homosexuality is sin- but no Christian who follows the Bible is any less guilty of sinning...

Kindly,

Nickster

God made people in his own image. And then made women for Adam's company. Everything is in his plan. Gays are not natural. God made people to be attracted to the opposite gender. Not the same. The Bible does not discriminate. It states the laws of God.

Actually the BIBLE states that Women are equals but men are natural leaders and it also states COLOR of skin is not a determination of guilt or something bad

But being GAY is not a crime
The actions of sexuall immorality is and Sleeping with another man by a man, is wrong, this is stated numerous times in the bible

It also stated being obese is a sin, as it is sloth and gluttoney

But like being gay it is something people are born with and have natural inclinations to be, but it doenst mean you HAVE to be that way .

Well, the bible discriminates against sin, the sin I commit is no better or worse than the sin of homosexual sex. I do not throw stones at anyone since I still live in a glass house.

I feel that homosexual people everywhere have been so beaten by so called church folk that we run off those who seek God's love. The Bible only discriminates against sin no matter what type it is, if it's wrong it's wrong. God is against homosexuality just like He's against murder, rape, incest, adultery, greed etc:

The Bible does not discriminate against gays. It states that the homosexual act is a sin. It also says that thieves, murderers and adulterers are committing sins. Does it discriminate against those as well?

No. You only want to make this specious claim to promote a gay agenda that, at it's heart, is intended to destroy tradition judeo-christian value that this country was built upon.

no its a bad thing that I quite dont understand. most people can help being gay just about as much as they can help what the color of their skin is! Big God believer but I just dont get that. The bible might as well say ''its bad to be Caucasion'' or ''its bad to have blue eyes''...I know they didnt exactly word this matter like that but implying that it is wrong is what Im referring to .... thats one of the few things I dont get about the bible (not that Ive read the whole thing yet lol)...theres my opinion for ya

I think you are rather mistaken in your initial assumption. The Bible does not discriminate against gays, it identifies homosexual acts as sinful. It also identifies a lot of other things as sinful; lying, stealing ,murder, slander, gossip, drunkenness, sloth. These are all actions that are committed by sinful people and God hates these sins, but he loves the people who commit them, even if they do not love him in return.
