NOt that I am an advocate of incest, but I am wondering why is it at one time right and then another wrong. So does this mean that eventually not being married to the man that your living with and share your life with would one day not seen as wrong. Or how about homosexuality will that be changed too. Just wondering

We need to remember that laws are set in place to protect us. We have laws to stop at red lights. If no one stopped...well you know what happens at times when someone breaks this law.

Often, when someone runs a red-light, people other then the one running it will pay for it…often with their life.

GOD's laws are the same. They are there for our protection. When we violate God's law, it is called sin. Sin always cost more then we can afford and it always cost others then the one doing it.

Now to your question, Incest is wrong because it weakens the gene pool because any weak genes become stronger. The more "inbreeding that occurs, the more likely major birth defects will result. This is a result of a small gene pool over a long period of time. In the beginning, the only gene pool was siblings. Adam and Eve and many more children then are mentioned in the Bible but these children had to marry their brother or sister to start, and then cousins but this would not have affected the gene pool that quickly. It was only after there were enough people around that GOD decreed that incest would not be allowed any longer.

Your other two questions also result in harm being done to both those doing it and to others. Living with someone you are not married to often results in children that would not be protected by marriage. Homosexuality has never been accepted with GOD because it violates HIS basic design for us. A man and a woman are to compliment each other…to make each other complete. Where men are weak, women are strong and the reverse is true also. This does not apply to two men or two women. Read the hidden cost of sin in the link below

Well that's a reasonable Q
Right or wrong and allowed or forbidden, not us as human being to determine or to put the heaven law.
To me as a Muslim I should follow what is mentioned in Holly Quran since I accept it to be totally true, and I can't find a reason for every point in it e.g eating ham is forbidden Islam but Christians they do eat it probably it was allowed at the days of Jesus PB UH.
So, that apply to incest, at early ages at the time of Adam PB HM and Eve the incest is a way to reproduce human beings, but after that it is not acceptable.

From what I can tell, incest, in and of itself, may not be wrong. It's sinful now bc God's declared it sinful, as a result of sin causing mutations and deteriorating the genetic code. This creates the risk for genetic problems in offspring born to closely related parents. However, right after sin, there weren't many, if any, mutations in the gene pool, the risk for those problems wasn't there. But by Moses' time, there were enough mutations that God had to outlaw it. Additionally, there were enough ppl alive then that it wasn't necessary anymore.

To play devil's advocate, at one time we were not aware of the kind of really, really bad recessive genes that start popping out when you're swimming in one very small gene pool. Thanks to science, we're now very aware that marrying your sister results in all kinds of deformities. Back in the day we didn't know anything about science and couldn't explain "why" you ended up like something out of Deliverance when your familiy interbred for centuries, but people did recognize that it was a very bad thing and needed to figure out some way to get everyone to stop sleeping with dad or mom or sister or brother.

Well for incest, they discoved that it caused birth defects basically.

What about homosexuality? It's generally seen as acceptable now (unless you're very religious or of a certain one) so by changing you mean what.. ? Changing back?

You know, this question is asked alot. Everyone needs to understand that most of those things happened in the Old Testament, before Jesus came and died for our sins. Things were just beginning when those things occurred. The Old Testament is History that leads into the New Testament. We need to know about all of the Bible, not just parts that we want to know about. Sometimes it's hard to decipher the text. That's why it's necessary to go to Sunday school, or be in a Bible study.
Thanks for asking.

i guess it all depends on you where you come from and your culture. Many different cultures have different beliefs and measurements of leniency. I think, its not really that it is not OK now, rather that we live in a world or great diversity and especially here, there is lots of different types of culture backgrounds and ideas are mixed up so much that its almost half and half. I'm sure you ll get more on the unaccepted side, but you be surprised the different opinions you will get

We know why its wrong. But the question is, why was it right with the bible and the all knowing sky daddy? It is all over in there so it's a little harder to fix than say a flat earth or using "Jesus fulfilled the law"

welllll technically speaking if we all came from adam and eve, then at most we are all distant cousins and thus its still technically incest. we are all part of the same family. descendants of adam, descendants of noah and so forth. christians are the ones who pretend to drink blood and eat flesh too, kinda sick isnt it...

(dont deny it, communion is exactly that - ritualized cannibalism)
