I was thinking of finding a guy online and telling her it is an old friend of mine. Is that appropriate? She is shy and works alot so doesn't meet people but i know she would like to be in relationship.

If you know she would like to be in a relationship than you should tell her that you want to set her up. Don't lie about meeting someone on-line. You don't want to set your friend up someone who you say is your friend and then find out they're a serial killer.

Be honest with her tell her what you're up to and let her help you find the guy that is a "match" for her. If it works out I'm sure she'll be grateful to you after wards.

I think it`s cool to give her an e-mail address so she can meet someone but don`t lie to her .If it doesn`t go good then she is going to look at you for it.Get someone that will be nice and not going to use her.She sounds like a sweet girl I wish you and her luck for the better.

i've met a lot of people on line. they've almost all represented themselves as something other than they actually are. i wouldn't do that to a friend.
