I had some fun with this paratrooper two years ago. it didn't last because i supposingly snogged three of his mates, and i found out he had a girlfriend and i had a boyfriend. He texted me two months later saying his girlfriend died and it would be nice to meet up, but my boyfriend gave him a piece of his mind. i broke up with my boyfriend. Texted this paratrooper a year later, and he asked me how i was, and that it would be great to meet for a drink, if i was near his town. I didn't hear form him for a while. Texted him last new year, and he said happery new year, bit hard to meet for a drink as he is working for the US army for the next two years, take care. Was he just being polite?

yes he was being polite. he's moved on and the fantasy fling you shared has outlived it's use. time to look at yourself and why you can't settle and need the fantasy

I dont think he is JUST being polite, I think there was always something and still something there. I think you should see him and see how it goes. Maybe he likes you and you like him 2.
