Two ways I know of that have been successful, for different kids:
1. Bribery...seriously, it's sad, but it works. Find something she wants a new stuffed animal or doll, something that can go to bed with her. If she, and she has to be the one to do it, throws away all the bottles, nipples, bottle brushes, etc. and says goodbye to them forever, then the item desired ie: a new teddy, can be hers.
But teddy can't come stay at the house forever until teddy has a place to sleep and someone to cuddle with at night, and teddy can't sleep in a bed/crib that has a bottle in it.
2. Just throwing them all away and dealing with the nighttime mealtdowns for a few nights.
Some kids don't want to give up that security for any reason, others need incentive, and a lucky few just decide they don't need it anymore. I lucked out with number three but have several friends that have used both methods above with alot of success. Good Luck

Hello! First & foremost I would definitely work towards getting her off of any bottle at night... I am a dental asst. and it is not good for a toddler to still be on a bottle in her bed b/c this could bring about decay. Water is pretty okay, but there is always the chance of choking. But I am sure you are being careful. What I did w/ my son was I would give him a Lovie (soft baby to hold) and I would tell him he was okay and I would sing to him and read a book. I know this answer is not the greatest, but outside of just comforting and guiding them, there is no great answer to this. In time she will become use to just self southing herself and not need her bottle anymore. Does she still take a paci, this would help her too. GL :)

She will give it up when she is ready. Just use water no tea as tea can discolor the teeth. It is probably a security item for her. My daughter had her blankie so long we thought she would take it off to college with her we even joked that we would sew a piece of it in the hem of her wedding dress. Relax have you ever seen a 12 year old with a bottle, she will come around if you don't fuss about it.

they're all incredibly undesirable while you're speaking approximately her tooth being healthful. i'd guess the newborn formulation may be the greater serious, and that i do no longer think of there is any distinction between the two milks relating to her tooth. have you ever tried only giving her undeniable water? If she won't take that before everything, then i'd water down the milk and shop upping the water proportion each and every few days. truthfully ween her from needing milk at bedtime and get her use to in effortless terms needing the water. you will would desire to get rid of the bottle quicker or later, think of of the pass to in effortless terms water as being the 1st step. it may rather suck for slightly, in spite of the undeniable fact that it would be greater proper than commencing from scratch while she is older! =)

i took my babes bottle from her at 12 months, i just stopped giving it her full stop, cruel as it sounds i was told to do it by the midwife and so i did ( she said it was bad for her teeth) and i did everything by the book back then, well now i regret it and feel bad, so what if they have a bottle, you are only giving water or tea, not fizzy pop(which i dont agree with) my 2nd baby is due and i am going to be more relaxed and i'm sure they will give it up when they want to, dont feel bad i wish i had let her keep it longer, the only thing you should be worried about is her having a bottle while she is alone in bed, incase it leaked and something happenend.....good luck

My pediatrician said to pull the nipple at 1 year old. I'd put water in it at bedtime and when he'd wake up for it, he'd have just water. He fussed at first but only for a few nights (about 3). The water is perfectly fine for the first teeth... milk, juice, even unsweetened tea can promote decay and staining.

yes my ped. told me to get my babies off the bottle around a year of age. what i did when my oldest boy was 2 and still not off bottle is to put water in bottle and milk or juice in sippy cup, or whatever your child will be drinking out of at night time. my second child was off the bottle before a year because she wanted to be like older brother drinking from a big boy cup. this is what i have done with my two.
the other thing you could do is tell her its time to put bottles away because she is getting to be a big girl. have HER put bottles in box or bag and put them away out of sight out of mind. if that dont work than maybe she is just not ready to give it up yet. she might need it for security.

Just cold turkey take it away. Its horrible to listen to them cry for a few nights but in the end its worth it. By the way you should NEVER give tea to little kids, it robs the body of much needed iron. My doctor told me that tea is not good at all

Dont try to reason with a toddler, it wont work! Just stop giving it to her, say it's gone. Buy her a new beaker and tell her milk comes out of this now or nothing else. It may take a few days, but dont budge! She will come round. It worked on my son after 3 days.

Give her plenty of liguids for dinner!
eg soup, milk juice, water etc!
Have her drink choc milk treat or something like that before bedtime.
Then brush the teeth!
She should be so full that she have no desire to drink from the bottle.
Do not make an issue of it!
Some kids are still breast feeding at five!!!!
