I think our purpose is to exist and grow. Grow spiritually and eventually reach enlightenment.

Serious answer (sorry!)
I think the key is Learning
Say when animals evolve, they develop some kind of mechanism so they can discover something new in the world, and stay alive longer; you could call that a sort of learning
Changing actions by learning from experience, and developing new fantastic things (computers for instance) to solve problems, is really how you get on in life, and thats what makes it interesting,
otherwise you'd always have the same reaction to everything you encounter every day;
so learning makes your life a bit more interesting and a bit better, even if its something really tiny or really huge!
Basically, taking something that seems impossible to do, and then just doing it!

We are here because we are here. Just like all the animals we are just another animal. The purpose we serve on earth is to live our life to the fullest and not be concerned with spiritual pipe dreams. There is no after life.If this fact makes you uneasy well what can i say. People get other people to do things for them because if they dont then they wont go to heaven.

you are reborn over and over and you choose your parents or main caretakers, you will meet the same people over again to resolve any issues with them for instance your dad could become your wife in the next life ect you just have to find a way to get on, plus your soul needs to experience everything from emotion to skills, if you feel you are doing something that you love and time just flies by then you are on the right path and if you meet someone for the first time but feel you have known them all your life then they say this is a person from your past life.

Our purpose in life is to Worship God. God created us for companionship and relationship.
Everything that is created in this world has a purpose towards the balance of nature. Except humans.
If humans didn't exist, this world would function just fine without us. It doesn't need us.
God created us for love.
Why do parents have children? Bottom line, is they want a child to love, and will put up with all the garbage that goes with it.
God created us because He wants to love us and He wants love in return.
Our secondary purpose is to spread that love to others, and tell the world about the Good News.

We are here to experience what it means to be in a physical life as oppose to a non-physical life. We all volunteer to be here. Our purpose here is to learn all there is to learn about life such as sadness, depression, generosity, compassion, anger, humiliation, and so on. And in the process, we learn how to overcome the negativities in life by learning not to react to those emotions. We learn to maintain a balanced way of life by not being extreme in any ways and not reacting to what others do to us or to another. Being able to maintain a balance is our ultimate goal and is the final process of our physical experimentations.

yes the meaning of life is to enhance ourselfs siritually so we can advance to the next plane of existance i.e. death
but the way to the meaning of life is different for everyone and is drawn out by the fates
just my opinion and everyone will have different opinions
the purpose of existance for the human race is to simply exist and pro-create, and in reference to do we go to somewhere better you go to whereever your beliefs dictate

Sure, we are here to make things better than they were when we arrived. Better as in easier. And yes, we do go on to something better, when we die. Everybody is rewarded according to their contributions.

We came into mortal existence to gain a mortal body, to experience joy and hardships to prove our worth and for our edification, and to make the right choices at returning to the Father's presence.
Simple, right?
