I picked up this lost dog on Sunday morning around 1AM, she was in the middle of the street with no tags, collar or anything. I've posted FOUND notices all over town, at vet offices, at the shelters and have even posted flyers in the area I found her. She is not microchipped, so I may be keeping her if no one comes forward by Friday.

I wanted to know what breed and how old she is, I'm thinking she looks like a pure bred Samoyed around the age of 1.

Here are some pictures:

Thank you for the responses. She is a big girl, i would say about 45lbs. Her teeth are somewhat yellowish, it looks like the previous owner fed her wet food. I've been trying to wean her off of it and get her used to dry food. I mix dry food, water, tuna water and a tablespoon of tuna for her dinner. She's loving it!

She is not little, so I'm ruling out American Eskimo (Spitz).

I would say a young Samoyed, she looks very much like a puppy yet. Maybe between 10 months and 20 months. Expect her to grow a wee bit more in size, but you're lucky. She's gorgeous!

She definately looks like a Samoyed but she could be mixed with any of these breeds:
Akita
Alaskan Malamute
American Eskimo Dog (Standard)
Finnish Spitz
Keeshond
Schipperke
Shiba Inu
Siberian Husky

I would say she is probably about 2 to 3 years old by the size and shape of her. She does look like she has the characteristic "Samoyed smile" created by the upturned corners of its mouth.

Yup, looks like a Samoyed, possibly a mix, but pretty pure. Teeth are the best way to tell age. NOT an American Eskimo as someone suggested...those are tiny!

It looks like an American Eskimo. It is hard to tell how old your dog is, the vet usually determines this by looking at the pet's teeth. I would guess about 2 to 3 years old.

I'll lay you odds she is an American Spitz. This breed was only recently recognized by the AKC. Great little dogs. They are now known as American Eskimos. Their coats are white or cream color.

Hope you get to keep this dog - they are great except for that need to brush them all the time!

Yep, she looks like samoyed, but you can not guess the age of the dog from pictures, you can take her to the vet and they would be able to tell you.

A cute one. She looks like a Samoyed to me, without seeing her teeth it is hard to tell. Good Luck.

the dog is an american eskimo(spitz family) or samoian. these 2 breeds look alot alike. cant tell how big the dog is from the pictures. eskimo has curled tail with black eye liner, and black nose and black around the lips. samoian usually large brown nose and can curltail but usually dont.
