We are all here for a purpose...try looking at the good things in life, like the fact that woke up today. A lot of people go to sleep and never wake up. Sometimes bad things need to happen to us before we start appreciating life. It happened to me.

That is exactly my point to Christians! If you believe you are going to heaven regardless of what you do, then why be put on this Earth. I am muslim and I believe I have been put on this Earth to serve and worship God. This life is a test to see whether we deserve to go to heaven or not. When we see people suffering, if we can, we should help. This is the kind of stuff we are supposed to do in this life. This is why I don't understand that Jesus died for the sins of others. So if no matter what you do, every christian goes to heaven, then what's the point of existence? You might as well go straight to heaven.
Please give Islam as chance... Here are some websites which may be useful:

First of all, we do not all go to Heaven. Some will go to Hell. I do not know which those people are, but some are chosen and some are not.
As for what the point of life is, that is not an easy answer. Ask a million people and you will get a million answers. As for me, the purpose of life is to live in a way that glorifies God. The state of affairs now, with the pain and suffering of life is part and parcel with the fallen nature of our world. You might think of it as the proving grounds for your next life, the eternal one, where you will live forever in a place without misery, full of love and happiness far greater than any you have ever experienced, or you will live in a place or perpetual torment. A place where not the least of the punishments is the knowledge that it could have been different.
I cannot answer the cry of your soul. I wish I could, believe me. You need to search out that answer. All I can tell you is that I went through the wilderness of the soul that you are in right now and I made it out okay. I have found my purpose in life and I am happier and fulfilled because of it. I am sorry I could not be of more help than that, but if you have questions, feel free to email me and I will do everything I can to help.

I am wondering in what way are you seeing suffering? Are you watching too much news programs? Or work with the terminally-ill? Are you a soldier? If it is bodily pain, in what way are you troubled? Perhaps the answer is you have mental anxiety caused by a poor view on your own life. Great men saw life as an opputunity for sacrifice. If they were already going to sacrifice, did that make life pointless? No. The sacrifice would not have been able to be made if life did not exist. And what of history, is millions of years of human history not enough to show the dividens between a time-consuming evolution of higher intelligence, and right to the minute satisfaction? Is this not the point? Is there really anything else that we could possibly want out of life, considering we have free choice to decide whatever we wish and the guidance of our own intellect?

No one knows what the meaning of life is. No one knows if there is a God or Heaven. You have to think about what you believe. As of right now, though, you are living on earth and making what you can out of it. More than likely this is the only life you get....so why waste it complaining and thinking of all the negatives in life? If you are suffering for some reason, change it and stop...obviously if you can.

Hi. There is no point to it, mate. AT ALL!!! I realised this as i went through one of the toughest times of my life. Knock after knock told me there was nothing, while others breeze through without a whisper of bad luck. I'm not a bad person so i wouldn't say i deserved it and i'm honest and have morals. I've seen people do nasty things to others and everything seems to go their way. I had a mental fight with myself for about a year and half deciding whether i should join them or not. My rightous side won, by the way. But through it all i was constantly looking for answers to try and make head and tail of it, to find a justification of WHY!!! I couldn't. My conclusion to the meaning of life goes as follows: We are not children of God. There isn't one. We are mearly at the right place at the right time. There are others (probability says so). Earth is at the exact distance away from the Sun for living organisms to flourish. It will get closer and we will die out. Other Planets around other Suns are going through the same. Some have had life, some have life and some will get life. They just have to wait for the exact balance of Gas, Temperature, Minerals, Elements and so on....before anything there was absolutely nothing. When you die, you won't be going to heaven, hell or be reincarnated. It is impossible for that to happen. I believe that there is a mathematical multi-formula with ? amount of dimensions and ? amount of numbers that are forever changing. If anyone could (I know it's impossible) find that forever changing formula and understand it they would be able to tell Why, How, Where, When, Everything. They would be able to pinpoint every molecule, every atom, every nanometre of everything. All will be explained. But like I said, its forever changing and probably expanding in all different directions, so no-one will ever know it. My advice to you is simple. You will never know the answers, no matter how hard you search. When you die, all that you had will be gone. Start enjoying the life as you know it and spend more time learning whats around you!!! Good Luck.
Matt

Well I think that the point of life is to live it to the full. I think that there is a god and that we live on earth instead of going to heaven is to test us. I know that there is lots of pain in life but I think that we're down on earth to do something about it. I believe that when we're up in heaven we cant smell or taste like we can do down here. Even from the early age we are tested to learn to walk and talk. Its just when we're older it gets harder but dont think that your the only person who see the pain or goes throw it because your not. Not even the Queen cant stop people she loves from dieing. But stop thinking about why god is putting you or people in pain and letting them suffer, go out and see if you can help and you'll feel better in yourself for helping people.

In Ecclesiastes 12:13, wise King Solomon wrote that "The conclusion of the matter, everything having been heard, is: Fear the [true] God and keep his commandments. For this is the whole [obligation] of man."
When God put Adam and Eve into the Garden of Eden, he told them in Genesis 1:28 what their purpose was: to "Be fruitful and become many and fill the earth and subdue it, and have in subjection the fish of the sea and the flying creatures of the heavens and every living creature that is moving upon the earth.”
God did not intend for us to live with such suffering and misery in the World! When Adam and Eve sinned, He did not change His original purpose for humans to live forever on a perfect Earth. He simply took another route to achieve His purpose, i.e. the ransom sacrifice of His son, Jesus Christ.
The day will come when all mankind will be restored to perfection and reside forever on a perfect Earth.
"For Jehovah is a lover of justice, And he will not leave his loyal ones. To time indefinite they will certainly be guarded;
But as for the offspring of the wicked ones, they will indeed be cut off. The righteous themselves will possess the earth,
And they will reside forever upon it." Psalms 37:28, 29.

Well JSM it's like this - Heaven has given you the gift of life now that you have received it - what are you going for Heaven?
One thing must not be forgotten . Forget all else but remember this and you will have no regrets. Remember and be concerned with everything else, but ignore this one thing and you have done nothing.
It is as if a King has sent you to a foreign land to perform one specific task for him. If you do a hundred things, but not this one appointed task what have you accomplished.
Human beings come into this world for a particular purpose and if they forget it they will have done nothing at all.
This world is not our home we are only passing through it is only for a season.
Lol.

Do you want to be a robot? This suffering you've gone through makes you stronger. think of it as this...if a spoiled child is giving everything they always take for granted what they have. If the child has to earn it then they will appreciate it more. This life is a gift and unfortunately most of us take it for granted, kinda like the spoiled child. If you suffer you earn the good that may come out it and therefore appreciate it that much more.
