how do you know when to tie get married?

ok so we have been together for 3 years now, we have talked about marriage and hell we almost got engaged a couple of years ago.

he wants to get married but i am kind of reluctant. such a commitment, i feel too young to be committed to one guy for the rest of my life. How do i know he wont tie me down and stop me from doing the things i want to do with my life?

Plus there are a few things about our relationship i am still not happy about. but its never going to be perfect, some days i want to be with him forever sometimes i think do i go on?

Does everyone go through this, how do you know when to get married?

2) You can accept the faults that you are uncomfortable with, for you should never ask someone to change for you.

I would love to know how old you are but...it's true, it's never going to be perfect but you should be SURE before you make such a commitment. Be sure that you love and want to be with HIM (specifically) before you agree to getting married. You don't want to regret it later, especially if you really love him and don't want to hurt him either.

don't rush into marriage...it's a serious comittment and a labor of love. if you still feel selfish about your life...you may not want to go down this road as yet because sometimes you may have to give up certain things to be with a person...just don't loose who you are. when you're ready, your gut will tell you. both my younger brothers married at age 21 and have successful marriages years later, so age isn't a sign of a lasting marriage.

take your time...and PLEASE go through premarital counseling in a church. it will REALLY tell you if you're ready or not.
