i usually just divide the tub of marg or whatever into sections.... if it's a 500g tub, a quarter of it would be your 125g

happy baking.

Butter (margarine is probably close) 125g = about 8.8 tablespoons.

Flour 175g = about 22.41 tablespoons.

50g of granulated sugar (not familiar with caster sugar) is about 4 tablespoons.

These are US measurements.

don't know how it will work for you but have made many successful cakes etc with and without scales. The marg comes in tubs at 500g so using a knife mark half then half again this will give you your 125g, rounded not massive heaped tablespoons can be judged quickly at one ounce ( 25 g) but slightly less rounded for sugar ok have a go and good luck !!

My mum taught me to cook saying that a heaped tablespoon of flour, sugar etc was roughly equal to 25g. As for marg or butter, i always look at the packet at cut the amout i need with a knife.

1 tablespoon is around 15g of sugar and 12g of flour.
margarine (one block) is 250g I believe, so you will need half of it.
