Urbanization is people moving to the cities. Are you wondering about a historical or current context? Historically, everyone moved from farms to the city looking for work when the farms modernized and didn't need so much labour. It still has been happening that way.

Currently most of the population ironically is cramped in big cities when we have vast regions of beautiful wilderness.
