I talk about it because I bothered to do research on them because I plan to get some in a few years. I love tattoos, and have done the research so that I can pick out an unsanitary shoppe out of a row of clean ones. Technically, I know nothing ^_^
The people that talk about them but know nothing about them? Hmmm, well, from my experience, they talk about tattoos and tattoo shops because it's a "cool" thing to talk about--they like to gripe about things like they actually know. It does get annoying...like one person who told me that tattoos are applied with hypodermic syringes.
I mean, wow.

I totally agree, it is such a pain to ask a ligit question and get harrassed by people who either hate tattoo's or think they know all there is about them health wise etc. I am sick and tired of being abused by people, and not bothering to answer my questions properly. I just report them for abuse now.

I don't know? I know nothing about tattoo's but what I do know is that I hate when people get tattoos that dont mean anything. Does a 25 year old guy really want a sexy cartoon anime fighter chick on his shoulder when he is 48? Oye!

Right on. Especially the ones that have never been to a tattoo parlour in their life.

Because people have opinions, and feel they need to be expressed in any fashion possible. On topics they are uneducated on, they will boast their opinions even louder. It's silly human nature.

We fear what we do not understand.

Haha, you must live in Oklahoma. People feel as if they must regulate others actions based on their personal religious opinions.
