How do I save my mini DVD tape video to my computer? I have a Canon ZR 200 , and I can download the pic images to my computer, however, I cannot download my video from the mini cassette tape. I have Win XP Home w/IE7 and Win Media Player. The instruction manual does not address this. Thanks.

For the best results, you'll need to have a firewire port on your computer. The next best option is an AV capture device.

You need two things, a fire wire (present in the newer PCs) if you don't have one yo can buy a PCI cart for a few $ and some video capture program like Nero OEM given by most of the DVD-R/W drives. Under windows XP as soon you connect your cam to the firewire and turn it on it will recognize the new hardware and install it automatically. Id this don't happen you will have to download the drivers for your camcorder.
A good advice don't run any other programs when capturing video, because this happens in real time and your capture device can start to drop frames.

You will need a video capture card and a firewire link. You can then download and edit your video and then upload it again after that.
