I only eat it on a spoon if no one is looking. ;)
My best friend's roommate dips Nilla Wafers in peanut butter, but I've yet to try it.
A friend vouches for oreo cookies dipped in peanut butter, but I personally think that is gross.
When I was a kid my dad would make "Ants on a Log" which was peanut butter spread in the hollow or celery with some raisens dotter on top.
Peanut butter is great on eggo waffles with bannana slices and syrup. Yum!
Oh, and Elvis was a fan of fried peanut butter and bannana sandwiches.

It's normal if it's your own jar. If it's a communal jar of peanut butter then that's just bad manner. Some people dip celery sticks or carrots in peanut butter. It's like Nutella being sandwich spread, but the best way to eat it is right out of the jar with a spoon. Ooh..peanut butter and Nutella sandwich...yum!

There must be something in peanut butter. I actually wake up in the middle of the night craving peanut butter. I will eat it right off the spoon. I am certainly not pregnant and this has gone on for a long time. I think maybe peanut butter satisfies some kind of blood sugar thing. My daughter does the same thing. Here in American, peanut butter is comfort food. Most of us were raised on the peanut butter and jelly sandwich. As far as other ways to eat peanut butter...peanut butter cookies are great. But, for the most part the old peanut butter and jelly sandwich is the best.

Peanut butter is used in all kinds of recipes and crafts(Remember PB Bird Feeder with pine cones?). The best is peanut butter cookies or the traditional PB&J sandwich. You can eat peanut butter out of the jar, but a good way to get alot of PB without eating it out of the jar is plop a big blob on a Ritz Cracker for a quick snack.

First of all, define normal.
Yeah, some people eat it straight from the jar. Most use it as a sandwich spread. It's also used in cooking...i.e... peanut butter cookies.

Of course it's normal! You guys don't have peanut butter there? We've all scooped it out of the jar with a spoon at one time or another. Besides sandwiches...it's good on Ritz crackers, in peanut butter cookies, Reese's pieces candy, other desserts and recipes...SO good!!! You can buy chunky or creamy. Peanut butter and jelly already mixed in a jar, people dip celery in it (which I find gross, but it's VERY popular), eat it with apples...

Oh yeah, just dig on in and enjoy that peanut-buttery goodness!! You can eat peanut butter on apple slices (YUM) or for a treat you can take a scoop of pb and put some choco chips on it (like a homemade, easy Reese's Cup!).
FYI, Americans will eat anything out of a jar with a spoon. My father used to eat MAYO by the spoonful. Of course, he died young of a brain tumor, but I'm sure there wasn't a connection!

My great grandmother was born in Scotland, and that was the only way she'd eat it. I don't think it's an American (or in my case Canadian) thing. My Scottish grandmother was the same way. No bread for them thanks!!
My daughter enjoys a dollop of peanut butter to dip her Goldfish Crackers in. Or try spreading some on a celery stalk. Yummy!!

I am American and I have eaten peanut butter off a spoon, but only once or twice. I do know that some people like that, but it is not a common practice. Peanut butter on toast is one of my favorites. It is a snack in/on celery stalks. It is an ingredient in curry . You can make peanut butter cookies.
