the you sure she' attacking you, she is more then likey, could be just playing (some cats are very rough when playing) ..... if your sure your its not play ......because attacking is not good.
did you have the cat all its life? is it used to being handled? if not that is why some cat when they are not used to attenceion or even hates being pickup or handled or approched.
could she be pregnegent (i dought it) but some female cats get visous when they are.
how have you been treating her lately?..... you may have done something to spook her, cats take a long time to trust and if this trust is broken it will take a while to build it back again.
are you invadeing her persional space cats have their comfort area and dont like to be disterbed.
here are a few dos and dont and her behaver should get better.
dont disterb while she is sleeping.
if she hises and spites shes is attacking, if she is creeping and ponching she if playing or hunting.
if play get too rough stop and walk away(she will soon learn)
feed for good behaver.
never lets cats and young children alone most cat dont like young children as they pock and pull and dont know then the cat wants to be left alone.
beleve it or not a cat will aproch a person who enores it rather then aproches it.
dont move your hand too fast towards a cat in a cats eyes this is treating behaver.
dont stare derectly at a cat this is also seen by cats as treating behaver. try wearing sunglasses so she cant see your eyes.
yawn .......... yah i know it sounds stupid but is a cat sees you yawning it knows your relaxed around her.
i hope this helps but i think its more likey your cat is just playing too rough.
ps..(sorry about spellings im dislexic and the spell cheeker doesent work ive tryed to fix the ones ive spotted but i dont usllaly get them all)

If you are seen as the "alpha" animal then she might feel threatened. You need to lay down the law, if it comes to that point. I have actually had a cat I owned once, attack me in my sleep. I freaked out because it hurt when it woke me up by scrathcing the crap out of my face and I (not thinking) grabed it and threw it against the wall opposite me. That is wrong, I know, BUT he did stop attacking me after that and became THE sweetest cat I'd ever had. So it all worked out in the end, but I don't suggest throwing your cat at a wall, lol.

We experienced this with our cat many years ago. In this case the target was my daughter 10 years old at the time. He had been kept in whilst a kitten. At 6 months old we let him out into the garden. He sensed other cats had sprayed in our garden by smelling the plants. My daughter was near to him at the time. He seemed to blame her for the problem at chased her growling from the garden to her bedroom. After an hour she came down and he chased her again. Maybe your cat blames you for an unpleasant experience. Your cat should forget about it in due course.
Be the one to feed your cat for a while and he might forgive you!!
If not, ask a vet.

She is likely "rough-housing" with you. My cat used to do this when I was sound asleep. He would pounce me, claws out and all. After a while he got over it. I began startling him in his sleep as a method of revenge. When she charges at you, play chicken. Run at her. It's fun to see thier reactions and she really does need the interaction at this age.
If she is agressively attacking and "not letting go", you need to get her to a vet. She may be ill or have an upset tummy. ALSO! Get rid of any cat-nip toys laying around. Put them in a plastic bag and put them away for a little while. My cats go ape!@#$ on that stuff and start fighting with eachother, with my feet, or even their scratch post.
Give her tons of attention, but not when she behaves like this. Maybe she is just lonely?

She probrobly just wants you to play with her. Try buying her a new toy, and maybe it will stop. Another possibility is that you aren't giving her enough food or water. Check with your vet to see if that's it. The 3rd possibility is rare, and only in the smartest of cats. If she was adopted or bought at a store, she might remember that you were the one that separated her from her mother, but I've only seen that case twice, so most likely one of the other two. Glad I could help!

You pissed her off!
Did your forget to feed her or change the litter?
Just kidding....she's showing her love for you. She wants to play and feels you are the one she's comfortable with enough to keep going back for more.
My kitty does the same thing. I losely tie a string to the back leg so he can pull it off after a breif fight with it but he keeps coming back for more. Have fun with her! Get some cat-toys, particularly the feather on the end of a stick. (And cat-nip will really mess with her now that she's old enough for it to cause a reaction!!!!)

I think that she needs a session with a kitten or an older cat. Either way - some social grounding (i.e. on an equal term with her compatriots) will teach her the consequences of her actions. She obviously already believes herself to be on an equal footing with you so entitled to invade your boundaries. It's very difficult to threaten and animal but I do hope you find your feral side. Remember they can smell fear - give some to her. Little *****.

Cats have different personalities and she's obviously picked up on a 'game' you have played with her when she was little kitty. Ignore the behaviour and hopefully she will get out of the habit.

She is just playing. My cat is 18 months and she is always chasing me and trying to kill my feet. I think she probably sees you as the one who feeds her and also as a big friend.
