If you already have a credit card of some type (even if it is a joint account) and you have a job and your own bank account it is just a matter of finding the credit card you would like. Look for a card with no hidden charges. It should be free. The interest you get charged is dependent on your income, your credit report, and your credit risk. Look for the lowest interest rate possible. Shop around. Make sure your credit limit is one you can manage. You can apply either via computer, regular mail or by phone.

Go online and apply for one. As long as you have decent credit you should have no problems. You said that you have 3 credit cards. Are they all of your parents?. You should stay away from the credit cards and start thinking about moving out and getting an apartment. Being 22, it is time to fly the coupe. Good Luck

Do you work? You can apply for cards but most won't approve you unless you either have an income or are a student. If you've had credit for 6 years and a reasonable income, there shouldn't be a problem. Just shop for the best rates and a low or no annual fee. If you get turned down, try a secured card from your bank or credit union.

The first and most obvious is to apply for your own credit card...there are many places to do so..online, pick up applications from stores or service stations...always a good place to start...and trust me...once you get one you will be swamped with offers for more....just be careful...you only need one or maximum of two to enjoy things withouit getting puleld under with credit card debts.

apply for a card through a financial institution that will give you a chance....credit unions frequently do this, as well as some larger banks (Capital One comes to mind)
stay away from places that require a huge security deposit and/or more than a $25 annual fee (never pay an application fee!)

its always good to start at a store walmart target and apply there. are you working cause it is extremely hard to get a credit card when you are unemployed. and really if the cards you have now are in your parents name it is really not any good for you. its no harm but does not do anything for your credit report.
