I think having another child is something both partners have to be comfortable with. I think getting pregnant may put a strain on your marraige. You have a good sized family already.

so respect his wishes AFTER ALL if the worst would would happen you split he is the one who has to pay support if he already has 2 kids from another women he is using his head. Together you guys have FOUR that's a lot to care for $$$ wise. I had two when i met my husband he had none we got pregnant he went and got a vasectomy last week because we can't afford anymore. This will be his one and only mine don't live with me i half shared custody. If you knew more children were what you wanted you should have married a guy with no kids who wanted kids also.

I feel that having a child should be a choice that both parties involed should have and agree with. If you choose to have a child without your husbands agreement that would be a selfish and disrespectful choice. You should have talked about wanting another child before you two got married or even when you two fist started dating. And if you did and he told you that he did not want anymore children. Then you know what you were getting into and should also respect his wishes.

I understand how you feel.I am in a situation simular to yours.Me and my boyfreind have been together for 3 years and have an 11 month old daughter and have a boy due in Feb.He also has 4 other kids.But his ex wife decided she did not want their 3 boys (6,4,3)anymore and sent them to live with us.So even though we had talked about having anonther child now that his boys live with us he no longer wants another child.It hurts to have to give up my dream of having another child just cause of his kids.I don't know maybe I am being selfish or something but I really hate giving up my dreams and all but I dunno how to explain to my boyfreind how I feel without making him feel bad or making myself seem slefish.

then i guess you shouldnt do it. how is having a baby against his wishes going to benefit your marraige? altho if he REALLY doesnt want anymore kids, i guess he should get himself a vasectomy
