It's not illegal to drink and drive. It's illegal to drive under the influence. Some people get to that point faster than others.

maybe the employees drive to work. and besides not everyone that goes to a bar drink and drive, maybe they are set as the designated driver.

it's legal to drink and then drive, so long as its under the legal limit

I'm 220 lbs, so I can have roughly 5-6 beers and still be OK to drive

you can drink and drive legally, but you can only have, like, ONE drink so you're under the legal blood alcohol level to be operating a vehicle.

Theoretically, you should have a designated driver. In reality, drunk driving laws are more "suggestions" than rules. Just don't get caught.
