Is it a sin? I know that many Mormons dont practice it, and it's illegal, but after watching this show, it made me think wow. You know the life they chose is really hard. Is it about sacrifice?

Polygamy is seen as a sin in many religions. However there are also religions that condone it, therefor to them it is not a sin. It was practiced in Old Testament times and it was not a sin then. I don' t remember anything in the Bible that states polygamy is against God's law. (Perhaps someone will correct me) It is against our social morality and yet multiple relationships outside of marriage are generally excepted.

Yes, polygamy is a sin.

Getting divorced & getting remarried is a sin. Therefore, being married to more than 1 person at a time is obviously a sin.

More than one wife was tolerated when men did not have any children left to inherit because all the children died being that times were so tough in ancient Jewish days.. Mormons conveniently received a new revelation when they started getting in trouble for their many marriages. When they were pulled into court rooms for their "alleged" child molestations they were supposedly told by God that they did not have to have many marriages any more.

It was about old dudes getting young love. And Mormons believe in polygamy in the hereafter.

If it is against land laws, then it is a sin. God allowed more than one wife. But Jesus clarified it in Ephesians. That one man shall leave his parents and cling to his one wife and they two (2) shall become one flesh. Not they 3, 4 or 5 shall be one flesh.

Biblically, polygamy is not a sin unless someone marries two sisters.
