hi there.i wouldn't go any longer than two days..chicken doesn't need to marinate to long to get the full flavor of the marinate..remember some marinates can break down the meat in resulting not a good piece of chicken..i would recommend to do this as close to the time you want to cook your chicken this way you will have a nice results..also don't forget the veggies...

A few days is way, way too long. Try it for an hour or so.
For a quick last-minute marinade, try plain old italian dressing - the oil and vinegar and herbs stuff. Put the chicken on a plate, squirt a liberal amount of dressing on it, and put it in the fridge for 30-60 minutes. Bake at 350 degrees until it reaches 160 degrees inside, using a meat thermometer.

I have placed chicken in marinade and then froze. Didn't ruin the meat. Another thing to remember is that acid starts to "cook" the meat. Usually it's recommended to marinade things for at least 1 hr and no more than overnight or 24hrs.

a few days? Wow, you are brave! Chicken has a low tolerance for "shelf life" and other things. I suggest using the chicken same day or atleast b4 48 hours.

well, if you must leave raw chicken waiting (in the fridge, please) for a few days, its better to leave it UNmarinated. The purpose of marinating is to inject flavor and to condition the meat to make it more tender. Several days of marinating chicken will leave you with mush... Marinate for a few hours, tops.

marinating chicken for one day is enough. do not over do it,chicken is very delicate and goes bad quick, but its a good absorber, even 30 minutes would be enough

leftover wine (red or white), garlic (to taste, i like lots), salt, lemon pepper, cayenne pepper, oreganum, marjoram, thyme. mix the lot together, pour over the chicken. cover and refrigerate, turning every few hours. don't leave it for more than 12 hours. fry, roast or bbq, basting with the marinade. delicious!

HOURS, not days. Or at most 1 day. Otherwise you will ruin the structure of the meat. And it will taste pretty bad.
