So I've talked with my boyfriend of 3 months about why he never seems to initiate anything physical. He said it's because he's complacent about sex, etc., NOT that he doesn't like me (he says he's super-attracted to me and that he loves me). Well, last night, he took my words to heart and initiated things. Right now, I'm feeling great; he really listened to me. The only thing, though, is that I'm really insecure about him going home for a month over winter break. He'll be across the country, I won't see him, and he'll see his ex (who he dated for 3 years). This worry is furthered by the fact that on Saturday night, I found that he sent her a text message saying, "I luve you." Granted, he and I had just had a small fight, and he was fairly drunk (we'd gone to a party). In light of his recent attempts to be a better boyfriend, do I still have cause to worry?

I can't really talk to him about this because I snooped around on his phone before, and he was really hurt that I violated his trust. I don't want to do that again.

you will just have to wait and see. You did say he was fairly drunk, some times people do things when they are not themselves, but it's no excuse. Time will tell.

Apparently he wasn't that drunk to be able to actually type out on a cell phone that message to his ex.....

Have you talked to him about this?

If he listened to you before, maybe you could bring it up. Atleast say, "I'm sure gonna miss you...... So what are you gonna do over the break?" Something like that. Try to make it casual enough.

You sound young. He sounds confused, maybe addicted to porn or masturbation. Don't sell yourself short. Dump him and think about growing up some before pursuing another serious relationship.
