I was 16. From a non-believing background. Borderline alcoholism. Attracted to christians by their love and simple joy.
When I realized Christ was alive and present in the room where I was, I couldn't resist Him. I told someone the following day I had been born all over again, and he showed me that the expression was in John's Gospel. A month later a Christian asked me when I was saved, and I was stunned: "saved" - what a wonderful word! That really described it! So I became a Christian withoutg having been exposed to the two major buzzwords of evangelical Christianity! lol. That was over 40 years ago. I have never regretted it.

I first became a Christian when I was seven, but God and I had a rocky relationship until I was 13. That's when I left completely. Then, after twelve years, and much research, I TOTALLY came back to God a few weeks ago.
Never been happier.
I came back because I did research...and found that the existence of God is nearly a certainty. He answered my prayers, even when I was in doubt, and gave me...sight. I could see. Not literally, but...it's really hard to explain.
God helped me to understand and overcome my doubt, and He also helped me to understand why so many bad things have happened to me. Basically. That's the best way I can explain it.

I was like in 3rd or 4th grade and I haven't been to church since I was a baby, and I decided that I wanted to go. So my parents found me and my little brother a church. On the first time I went to church I literally gave myself to Christ. As I grew I stayed with church (always pondering is this right for me) up until about the 10th grade, and I took this biblical lit class in my public high shcool (which burned down 11/01/06). My church begin to ridicule me over taking it and begin telling that since it didn't teach what they believe it was wrong. I told them that it didn't teach a certain thing it was a look at the bible through all faiths. I guess from then on out I decided to follow my heart and make my spiritual path like Jesus did.

I was about 10 years old. I became one because I was raised in church (my dad is a pastor) and I wanted the same desire and happiness that I witnessed others recieving. I needed and wanted Jesus to be my rock and my fortress. He has been for 10 years now and that will never change.

I was six. I was Baptized. That's because God's Grace and the Faith given to me by God are what makes me a Christian...

Nothing I can do can make me a Christian. Even Faith is a gift.

And that grace was given to me in Holy Baptism.

It's *all* Grace.

Ephesians 2:8-9 (King James Version)

8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

I grew up at a traditional Lutheran church. I really didn't believe it, but my family went there-my parents, uncles, and grandparents, so I didn't really have a choice. I stopped going around high school, since there was no one near my age older than me, or within 2-3 years younger than me.

Around junior year of high school, I started going to a very contemporary Presbyterian church, and I love it. It's an entirely different experience. That church has helped me. Going there, I have an entirely different faith.

I was born Christian, My mom was Catholic and religion was forced on her by her parents, she was not at all like them, she let us find our own way to God. I went to church on and off all my life but have just recently (within this year) found a wonderful Presbyterian Church and I love it!!!

I received Jesus as my Savior when I was 19, but I did not let Him be my Lord until I was 38.
