I have tried message but it is not working. The doctor said it may take surgery. Does anyone know about this? The procedure and recovery time? I have an appointment in 2 weeks but do not want to wait for info.

I had a hard lump of scar tissue in my lip after stitches. I asked a doctor about getting rid of it but he said that there was no guarantee that new hard scar tissue would not form to replace it.
Over the years the scar tissue has softened and 15 years later I can hardly notice it. Good luck with your op if you choose to go ahead. You might not have any new scar tissue at all.

Yes, it will require surgery, most of the time the procedure is simple and can be done under a local anasthetic, depending on how deep down the scar tissue is. in a case like that, the doctor will recommend that you rest for a day or two.
