I want a puppy so bad!! I found a puppy in our area that I REALLY like! It's almost potty trained and has been fostered! It costs $250 to adopt, which I think is reasonable considering the prices they are selling for.

How do I convince my parents to get one!?

PLEASE HELP!

I have $100 dollars in my savings account. I'm looking for babysitting jobs but can't seem to find any... I don't get any allowance, btw.

Also... I'm going on a WA D.C trip with school.... It costs almost $400!! Should I give up that? Will it get me the dog?

*sigh* I told my mom that I'd give up my D.C trip and she still said no! They have no reason not to get one, I know it's not the money.

1. EARN the $250. Your parents will be impressed.
2. Show that you are responsible enough to take care of the pet.
do this by vacuuming, doing dishes, making your bed etc without being asked. You have to show them you will NEVER forget to feed or walk the dog.
3. Have a plan for what will happen to the dog when you go on vacation (earn the money to board it) or when you go to college (dogs can't go in dorm rooms and parents often get stuck with them)
4. Earn the money for the dog's shots, food, vet bills, etc. So your parents don't have to pay. If you can't do that, offer to give up something they are already paying for you (cell phone bill, internet, soccer, piano lessons etc.) so that they can pay for the dog's upkeep.

It's all about responsibilitly.

Act responsibly and your parents will trust you to be responsible with a pet. It will take time though, but there are ALWAYS dogs/puppies in need of a good home so don't rush.
