That's a hard question, what is considered slow roasting, Time or the amount of product your roasting. The answer to the question is you can slow roast anything by turning the temperature down and "roast" for a longer period of time. Personally roasting is done for a minimum of 3 hours such as you would a Turkey. One hour is Baking

How about Beer Can Chicken? You can do this either in your oven or on a gas grill.

Rub the outside of your chicken & the inside cavity w/ salt, black pepper, cayenne pepper, chili powder & olive oil. The easiest way to do this is to make a paste, then rub it into the skin. Inside the chicken put a couple slices of lemon & 2 stalks of fresh rosemary.

In a small sauce pan, heat 1/2 a can of beer, 1/2 a stick of butter, the juice from the rest of that lemon, & 2 tablespoons of worcestershire sauce. Drink the other 1/2 of the beer. :)

Pour the sauce back into the beer can, & place the chicken upright so that his you-know-what is sitting down on the can. Tie the wings together so they don't burn. Slice the "top" off the lemon & shove it on top of the chicken, so that the steam will be blocked from pouring out the top. Roast @ 400 for 15 minutes, then lower heat to 325 for an hour. Remove from oven & allow to sit for @ least 10 minutes before carving so juices can redistribute.

You won't be sorry. It will be the moistest chicken you ever had!
