Well if my wife ever said "He's off to that youth group again!" or "He's out helping feed the poor!" I would think it was great. If his religious belief caused him to help others and be a good person I would be fine with it. On the other hand if I heard my religious child say "Those damn gays shouldn't be able to get married!!" or "Let's blow up an abortion clinic!" I would be mortified.

If I had kids, I wouldnt be ashamed. Perhaps slightly disappointed, but not ashamed.
AS an Atheist, it is my duty to allow my child to make up their own mind - not to indoctrinate them into ANY beleif system.

Are believing youth ever ashamed of their atheist parents? No, they shouldn't be. It is not their choice. No one is hurt. There is no cult or brainwashing. Just a choice.

Well, it's the children's decision if they would want to come to know Christ and or live an ungodly life blinded from the truth of the Lord.

That would depend on the parent. If I had a kid and he turned into a zealot, I would be disappointed. But you have to let them live their own lives.

ok including "you freak" to the top of a sentence makes it the actual opposite of polite. yet are not getting indignant. I admit that they shouldnt be conversing on your toddler in case you dont comprehend them, or attempting to "brainwash" them. possibly they experience called to unfold the word of God, yet they might desire to repect bourdaries besides. only be like I dont experience mushy approximately you chatting with my toddler approximately that.
